Hindustan Waste Treatment: corporate rebranding and brand systems for an environmental technology company

The plants were always the future. The brand was still filed under waste.
Hindustan Waste Treatment builds and operates municipal solid waste treatment plants across India, turning what cities discard into Compressed Biogas and recovered material. It is part of the SFC group, and its sites are the ones municipalities send other municipalities to see.
Then circular economy moved from pilot projects to national policy, and the group formalised how its companies relate to one another. HWT found itself read by committees who had never stood on one of its floors. The engineering already worked like an environmental technology company. The category still filed it under waste management.

The Brand Immersion Programme, run in four phases.
A rebrand inside a group has two jobs at once. It has to give the company its own conviction, and it has to make sense of that company's place beside its siblings. Our Brand Immersion Programme puts the leadership and the plant floor in the same enquiry, then works forward from what it finds.
Stand where the work happens
Plant visits, operator and leadership interviews, process observation, category and group audit.
Find the group logic
HWT's role inside the SFC group, what it owns, what it shares, what it must never duplicate.
Build the language
Identity modernisation, palette, typography, iconography, image treatment, full visual system.
Put it in a real room
Templates, proposals, environment graphics, sales tools and the IFAT expo presence.
