Investing in India moved to the screen. A generation of platforms made trading instant, cheap and self-serve, and the whole category began speaking in the language of speed and access. Phillip Capital reached a decision point every established firm eventually faces: follow the shift, or state plainly what it is instead.

Its leadership was clear. This is not a technology platform. It is a personal wealth custodian, built on relationships measured in decades rather than sessions. The business was growing. What needed protecting was the equity underneath it, and the ability to say what that equity was worth.

What Phillip Capital taught us.

01

Three months at the leadership table, before a single visual.

We ran the business through H³, our framework for separating what an organisation says from what it actually believes and actually does. Head for the strategy and the economics. Hand for the practice, the service, the daily proof. Heart for the reason people stay. The pattern that emerged was not in the product. It was in the relationships. Portfolios at Phillip Capital pass from parent to child. Advisors have sat with the same families through education, marriage, business, succession and retirement. The firm was never selling returns. It was holding wealth as it moved between generations.

02

A wealth brand that looks like time, not speed.

Everything the category was doing visually said urgency. Bright, fast, transactional, built for a screen glanced at between meetings. Wealth. Across Chapters. asked for the opposite temperature. A restrained palette, photography of people at real life stages rather than stock prosperity, and a typographic system with enough weight to sit in a boardroom and enough warmth to sit in a family living room. The point was not to look premium. It was to look like something that stays.

03

The leadership bought it before the market saw it.

Most repositioning fails at the same place. The idea is approved at the top and never travels, so the people who actually meet clients keep telling the older story. So the first audience for Wealth. Across Chapters. was internal. We took the entire leadership team through the platform and reached genuine consensus, then rebuilt the material an advisor uses in front of a client. Presentations, brochures, proposals, digital presence and reporting all moved to one voice , so a client meeting in any branch now sounds like the same firm.

04

You now read the positioning before you meet anyone.

Phase two put the idea into the building. A brand that claims to hold wealth across generations cannot be a line in a deck. It has to be somewhere a client and an employee both stand. The journey was designed end to end, from the lift lobby through the corridors to the floor. Wealth. Across Chapters. now meets you at reception in full height letters , with the narrative alongside it and the palette carried through every surface beyond. Six months in, the team does not need reminding what the firm stands for. They walk past it.

(07) What changed

A twenty year firm with a twenty year story.

One stance, held publiclyThe firm stopped competing on the category's terms and stated what it is instead. Personal custody, not a platform.
The whole firm says itLeadership, advisors, collateral and the building itself now carry one story, so a client meeting sounds the same wherever it happens.
Earned the right to campaignSix months of internal alignment before a single outdoor site. The external work now has something real behind it.

Build note · Replace with client-verified outcomes before publishing. Advisor adoption, referral movement, recall among HNI audiences, pitch conversion

Repositioning a firm the market has already made up its mind about is a leadership problem.
