YOLO by Prime Lands: brand naming, identity and launch campaign for Sri Lanka's first youth lifestyle real estate brand

Not a property project. A youth movement.
Prime Group, one of Sri Lanka's most established developers, had a modern apartment city planned for Colombo's young and energetic crowd. The buildings were a given. What was not was whether a category that talks in square feet, amenities and payment plans could say anything to a twenty-six year old.
So the brand was built as a movement rather than a development, from the name outward. Every decision after the name, from typography to tone to the launch itself, had to answer to freedom, individuality and energy rather than to specification.
- Naming
- Brand strategy
- Identity system
- Launch campaign
- Film and content
- Sales gallery
- Environmental branding
- Developer positioning

What the launch proved.
Name it like a movement
YOLO, for you only live once. Not a descriptor, not a place name, not a Latin root borrowed to sound permanent. A phrase this generation already said to each other, handed back as an address. The name did half the selling before a single visual existed.
Every corner, an experience zone
The identity took from the pulse of the city: street culture, nightlife, the way young Colombo actually spends an evening. The gym has an energy, the spa has a calm, the coworking and social spaces have their own. A development becomes a lifestyle brand when each part of it is designed to be somewhere rather than something.
One ecosystem, not a campaign
Brochures, hoardings, launch films, social, investor decks, show-flat graphics, digital, signage and the on-site environment were designed as one piece of work. A buyer walks through all of it in sequence. Consistency across the buyer journey is not a nicety in real estate, it is the proof the project is real.
The launch broke the convention
Influencer teasers, high-energy visuals and storytelling instead of a price list, across digital and physical media at once. It trended nationally and was picked up by the property press. More than 300 units sold in the first week.

“With YOLO, we didn’t just sell homes, we sold an attitude. BBT captured that with absolute clarity.”
